If you've always wanted to try yoga, but don't feel comfortable taking a traditional class, chair yoga offers a perfect solution. This is your opportunity to learn some safe and simple exercises that you can perform at home or at work to improve your flexibility and productivity while boosting mental clarity and health. Better yet, it's completely FREE!

These classes are open to the public, so there's no need to register. Just stop by the Broken Bow Public Library or the Prairie Pioneer Center in Broken Bow for a stretch and de-stress.

If you've ever taken a yoga class, you'll probably recognize some of the poses, such as Warrior Three (pictured above); however, each pose has been re-imagined using a chair. The chair provides added support during the poses, making this class perfect for seniors wanting to remain active in a safe environment or for office workers looking for a solution to low back pain and neck tension.

Each pose can be tailored to the needs of the participant and we want you to get the most you possibly can out of this class. If you've had a recent knee or hip replacement, let the instructor know. She will be happy to adjust or substitute any poses that may be dangerous or painful for you.

Come in whatever pants you're comfortable in. These exercises are for people wearing yoga pants, jeans, and even slacks (we do suggest wearing pants that allow you some freedom of movement so that you can fully participate)!
